Thank you for your interest in commissioning me! The following are my terms of service!
Payment for Commissions:
Any work done by me for hire is at default a personal use item. If licensing for commercial rights (reprinting, use in product or anything you're making money with) is requested you will be required to sign a contract for continued use and pay a recurring fee. Royalties or a % portion of each sale will be required for resale of designs drawn by me. Let me know during the commission process if you are interested in licensing art I'm creating for you for any purpose commercially.

Thank you for your interest in commissioning me! The following are my terms of service!
Payment for Commissions:
- For commissions under $150, Full Payment is required before beginning any work.
- Commissions over $150 can be done as a payment plan - 50% up front, with 30 Days to pay the last 50% per invoice unless arranged to be multiple payments.
- Completed Artwork will NOT be sent or delivered until full payment has been received, no matter the holiday/birthday deadline.
- Do you have a budget? Simply ask and/or let me know your exact budget and I can quote you based on that too!
- I accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, Ko-fi, and Square. I also do commissions in exchange for purchasing something off my Throne Wishlist for me. Please inquire if looking to purchase with these for rates of barter.
- ART TRADES: If money is not tight, I am open for art trades with fellow artists. Feel free to ask. I play Art Fight every year too, so add ovaettr on there if you want to do art trades during July, which is my birthday month!
- I reserve the right to cancel your commission at any time. I will refund 100% regardless of progress made if I am the one doing the canceling.
- If you cancel your commission (within 24 hours of payment) you will receive 100% refund as I do Free Consultations.
- I will not start a commission until the next day after payment to ensure no cancellations occur.
- To cancel a commission already started that is NOT FINISHED ALREADY up to the Inks phase, I will refund the rest according to the progress made in accordance w/ my rate originally quoted for you as follows:
- Sketch Phase Completed: 50% refunded
- Inks Phase Completed: 25% refunded
- Coloured and Completed Artwork is not available for any refunds whatsoever.
- Clients who do a "chargeback" on a completed and approved artwork will be blacklisted from future commissions.
- Reposting the commission is within your rights as long as credit is received for the work. I appreciate the sharing a ton! Just please link back to me with the following credit choices: @ovaettr.gay on Bluesky, @ovaettr everywhere else or just use my website ovaettr.gay ... Thanks!
- I will ask for permission to resell something commissioned by you on my InPrnt and for my personal art shop if applicable. I will supply you with a copy for free if allowed to resell. Otherwise, it is only used as a portfolio piece and not resold at default.
- I reserve the right to take as long as I need to on the commission in case of emergencies or national holidays for USA. My turnaround is typically within 3 days to a week or two depending on the project's scope. Some projects take months, and will be noted as such in timeline expectations. I will let you know the amount of time it will take me to complete it and keep you updated on each step of the progress. If anything comes up you will know first via private communication or you can refer to checking my bluesky for any sudden life announcements.
- I reserve the right to refuse any commission under any circumstances for any reason whatsoever.
- Edits and all major changes to a commission must be made during the SKETCH PHASE feedback cycle. Major changes requested after inks are already done will be met with a minor Editing Fee dependent on what needs to be changed. Thank you for understanding.
- Completed artwork that has received final approval is not available for changes after the service has been rendered done.
- Please do not deface or trace the material commissioned to pass off as your own original work. I will blacklist you if this is done.
- Lining a sketch, colouring an adoptable base, ink or b+w sketch commission is totally ok as long as you link back to the original or @ credit me (@ovaettr.gay on bluesky or @ovaettr on insta or ovaettr.gay) in your post.
- Please do not sell/resell something you finished from something I drew for you, it is only for fun/educational purposes.
- The only thing allowed to be resold are adoptable character designs and the rights to using them.
- Cropping and editing the image is up to you, for icons, banners, layouts, etc. as long as the art itself is not drastically defaced.

What I Won't Draw
- NO illegal or morally corrupt subject matter, minus marijuana paraphernalia. The obvious stuff. If you request something I deem too risky or explicitly awful to me, I hold the right to refuse drawing it as previously stated.
- NO Anti-LGBTQIA+, racist, colonialist, sexist, conservative, right wing or fascist political stuff. You're not welcome here. This is a leftist, queer, and anarchist space. I am a leftist and queer artist! My art is not for fascists.
- NO Hyper-realism. I have varied styles but this is not one of them. I still have a stylized "animator's style" approach to my life drawing no matter how true to life it is. I can recommend you to the best hyper-realistic artist I know, Bracha Alizah on Facebook and TikTok - if you're looking for hyper and especially magical realism go to them and tell them Orion said hi when you do! :)
- NO Babyfur or Diaper kink stuff. Please do not request this.
- NO FatFur Fetish or Forced Feeding kink stuff. Please do not request this. I draw fat bodies, being fat is hot but I'm not into drawing the particular fetish.
- NO Piss kink stuff. Please do not request this.
- YES, I am happily open to drawing NSFW! I am especially interested in drawing more queer NSFW artwork in my lifetime. Trans+ and intersex bodies especially.
- Kink-positive minus what was already mentioned I won't draw in the above section.
- Please do not mention anything about 'NSFW' when paying for your order, it is too risky. Thanks!
- I explicitly REFUSE to give permission for art commissioned from me to be turned into NFTs via minting.
- I explicitly REFUSE to accept all forms of crypto currency as a form of payment for artwork.
- I REFUSE to service anyone involved with crypto or NFTs, that is not the purpose of my art nor do I want to be associated with NFT "artists."
- I REFUSE to be involved in harming the environment. I do not support NFTs or crypto.
- If the artwork I provide for you is ever minted as an NFT, I will respond with the proper legal action and demand monetary compensation immediately
- I explicitly REFUSE to give permission for art commissioned from me to be used as data for training A.I. / artificial intelligence systems.
- I am an artist who stands against the looming threat of being replaced by plagiarism machines AKA generative A.I. and it's abusive, exploitative, and unethical training set data gathering tactics.
- If my art is found to be used in data sets for generative A.I. training I did not consent to this usage of my artwork at any point in time and continue to refuse to be complacent in capitalist greed and abusive tech standards that also harms the environment with every generation. There is no ethical way to use gen A.I.!
- I stand to boycott all institutions and businesses, including event organizers, that continue to commit to using posters and graphic material made using generative A.I. while refusing to pay Real Living Artists for their event posters and marketing graphic work. I will not appear at any event advertised using generative A.I.!
Stance on Genocide as an Anti-War Artist Against Apartheid
- I absolutely REFUSE to do any work or break bread with anyone who is in support of Israel - an apartheid state led by a fascist regime - and their ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and Jenin and everywhere else in the world.
- No artwork I ever create should be used for the purpose of supporting or funding Zionism & the apartheid state of Israel. Any work you see of mine being used for this purpose is in the wrong and not associated with me or my work. Is this Anti-Semitic? No.
- As per the PACBI Statement made by The Cartoonist Co-Op which I am a part of, I make the commitment to the Boycott, Divest, Sanctions movement. In doing so, I will boycott of institutions including (but not limited to) magazines, publishers, art galleries, public programs, bookstores and literary agencies that enable the subjugation and dehumanization of Palestinians through their cultural and financial normalization of the Israeli occupation. We stand in solidarity with Palestinian people and institutions resisting settler colonialism, apartheid, and genocide.
