She was a Puerto Rican American transgender activist. She was present at the Stonewall Riots, as one of the inciters, and was a founding member of both the Gay Liberation Front and later the Gay Activists Alliance in NYC.
Also incredibly notable, is Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson's founding of STAR(R) - the Strategic Transgender Alliance for Radical Reform - an organization that puts the needs of Black and brown Trans, Gender Non-conforming, and Sex Worker folx first and foremost, especially those who are homeless or battling discrimination.

Helms is a trans activist who grew up in Arizona and served in the U.S. Navy. She debuted the flag at a Phoenix, AZ pride parade in the year 2000.

A small 5 x 7" art print featuring Leslie Feinberg, the American butch lesbian, transgender activist and communist (1949 - 2014).
Zie was a notable author who wrote 'Stone Butch Blues' in 1993. Other notable books zie wrote include 'Transgender Warriors' which laid the groundwork for much of the terminology and awareness around gender studies and was instrumental in bringing these issues to a more mainstream audience.
Hir work is incredibly important to the advancement of transgender rights in America and will always be remembered and read time and time again.
Gilbert Baker - Creator of Rainbow Flag - Pride Palette 5 x 7" Print

A small 5 x 7" print featuring Gilbert Baker, who was an American artist, designer, and activist (1951-2017). He created the very first pride flag in existence - the rainbow flag - in 1978 with a collective. He refused to trademark the flag, urging that it was a symbol for the entire LGBTQ+ community. In 2017, he released a newer version of the flag with a lavender stripe added for Diversity. This print features the original 1978 version.

Portuguese Man o' War | Mermay 2022 [Original]

A Portugese Man O' War is a type of jellyfish adjacent creature that is made up of many tiny creatures all bound together, dependent on each other for survival. They inflate a balloon like body part that helps them float on the waves. In my rendition for Mermay, I played on the "polycule" theme for this lovely bunch of folks madly in love with each other and needing each other to survive the sea's high tide.

Take home a unique 2" illustrated sticker design featuring Haiah, Jamal Zuhir's kitten and a message of hope for Palestinian liberation.
Jamal is a Palestinian software engineer just trying to survive the catastrophic onslaught on the ground in Gaza. His family members (12 + him) are living in a makeshift tent trying to survive Isreali attacks. Jamal has been fundraising with the assistance of his friends outside of Gaza and my sticker is a part of an art drive where tons of people drew his kitten for prints, stickers, or more items that could bring in funds for his family to escape Gaza with. He needs $60,000 to get him and all 12 people across to Egypt when the Rafah border opens again at the end of July. We need to fundraise the lat $13,000 for him to succeed in this goal. This sticker helps!
